This award recognizes the SAFE PLANT program participant company with the most successful and significant safety program implementation and accomplishments in 2019 that have positively impacted the health and safety of their employees.

The 2019 award winner would have been announced at POLYCON 2020 back in April. But with the event cancellation and the pandemic shut-downs, the announcement and recognition has unfortunately been delayed.

Those members that chose to participate in the SAFE PLANT OF THE YEAR contest had to apply to meet certain criteria, as they pertained to their company, and provide a detailed description of the company’s efforts to satisfy each criterion.

The SAFE PLANT program committee reviewed and scored the applications submitted. It was a close contest!  Congratulations to IMI for coming out as the winner.

The committee will award IMI with their trophy along with a celebration luncheon and tee-shirts for the entire staff on July 2nd. An article in the June issue of Cast Polymer Connection will feature IMI and their health and safety efforts that earned them the title.
